Spring Happenings

I can't believe that it is almost Summer! March is almost over and school will end in only a few more weeks! Time sure has been flying by in our house lately! Trevor has about 6 more weeks of school plus finals week! Olivia turned 14 months this week and is growing up way too fast! Kim is busy keeping up with a growing toddler and keeping up on bills and a house that turns into a mess quick with the toddler running around!

We didn't get to do anything fun for Spring Break because we will be going on 2 full weeks of vacation this summer.. So Trevor has to work as much as possible to keep the business ahead of summer vacations (plus I didn't think it was fare for him to take off a couple days this week for Spring Break when we will be leaving in 2 months for a full week to California)

New news is that we officially traded in Granny the Grand Am for a 2010 Chevy Impala! We absolutely love it! We were gonna get a 2006 Jeep Commander but the more I thought about it I had a bad feeling about getting it and we both couldn't get past the thought of having to pay $100 a week in gas because it got 15 miles per gallon! It was a super nice car but we needed a car that would get good gas mileage so Trevor could use it to drive for school and work and not be forking out money every week! The Impala we bought is a charcoal gray/blue color ! It depends on what light you see it in! It has what looks like a bran new engine and parts... under the hood looks very well taken care of! It seats 5 but looks like there is enough room in the back seat for 3 car seats so we can grow into it a lot! It drives so smooth and is very quiet! You can barely tell the car is on when listening to it! The selling point that made us fall head over heals for this car instead of the Commander is it gets average 30 MPG on highway and 26ish City MPG! That is double the Commander and 8 more than we got in Granny (or goldie, depending on if you are talking to Trevor)

Granny the Grand Am was starting to over heat a lot and get very squeaky when turning corners. We were very afraid she would cer-plunk on us while driving to California one of the 2 times this summer! So we quickly got in touch with the best used car dealer in Northern Arizona (my Uncle Jeff Hancock) and got a car picked out and signed for in a week!

We are really busy all the time trying to keep up with a super busy toddler and also working on finding a new place to live! I think we have found a place to live that is in our same ward... but we jut need to wait to see what they say after they remodel the water main breaks that happened in the house! We should find out by the end of April so we can move in hopefully by the 2nd weekend of May so I can have our current place cleaned out of all our stuff!

The highlight of our day is when Trevor gets home, and Livy stand by the window waiting for him to drive into the driveway, and we can spend the evening talking and playing games and eat dinner together and then giving Livy a tub! Which by the way is still her favorite thing to do... she is gonna have so much fun this summer swimming at the resort and going to the beach on our vacations this summer!

We love the little family that we are! We love spending time together! We love to get Olivia laughing... she is such a happy and easy going little girl! I hope you had as great of the month of March as we did! Happy April in 4 days! WOW! Time is flying by this year!

Her hair is getting so much fun to fix with soap

Ignore how much laundry there is.. she is a good helper with laundry

"I. Love. You You You You You."

Look at those big top teeth

So tired that she fell asleep on dad like this

She has a fascination of laying on her stomach frog like and blowing bubbles

"Teese (she means cheese)"

Daddy hanging out with the munchkin during Tubby Time
Hopefully I can be better about posting on my blog more often! I don't even know if anyone reads it but it is like a journal for me since I hate smearing with a left hand writing in a journal!

Happy Almost April! Have a great Easter Weekend!

Birthday Picture Overload

A year ago on January 24, 2012 a little girl was brought into this world and her parents could not be happier! Little did they know what a joy she would bring to them and the adventures they would have watching her grow!  She had this Platnum Silver Blonde Hair" that brought Nurses and Doctors from other floors to come marvel at something they had never seen before!
Her mom was able to put pony tails in her hair a early as 3 months old which is something that most babies aren't able to have till at least 6 months of age!

Olivia Jean Russell had her 1st birthday this past week! She didn't have a great day on her birthday.. except for sleeping most of the day but on the Saturday following her birthday we invite all her Grandparents and Great Grandparents to come over for some cake and ice cream and watch her open gifts and dig into a smash cake! She also woke up to a ton of balloons in her bedroom that she had a blast playing with! She got a lot of cute clothes and a couple toys that she absolutely adores and some sippy cups that she cant get enough of!

She is very smart! She can say "mama" , "dada", "baabaa" for bottle,  blow kisses and wave bye, she is a big tease if you are trying to love on her by getting as close as posible to you and then running away... she likes to yell at the top of your lungs to get your attention and play with any cupboard or drawer that isn't  locked... she will yell "mama" and when I find her she just smiles and continues to play.

She has a special place in her heart for her daddy and boys in general! She says a lot of other words but I just cant think of them right now. She is already wearing 18 months clothes because she is so tall just like her mom! She loves to give you a quick squeeze if you can catch her ... and she is a very good sleeper and eater!
She is the joy of our lives and is such a happy loveable toddler! Can't wait to see what year 2 brings for this sweet little girl! Happy Monday everyone!

Story of 2013!

Christmas...
What can I say about Christmas for us this year?!?

Fun, Joyous, and the start of heck!

Let me go back a little to explain..........

Monday 24th: Christmas Eve we went over to Trevor's parents house and had a little get together with Trevor's parents, his Brother Gavin, his brother Jay's family(Jay, Brittany, Eden, Kason and Treyden), Trevor's Aunt Nan, Uncle Rod and 2 cousins Megan and Ronnie, and my personal favorite... Grandma Russell (I will post video's some day of her singing to Livy.. Livy and I has a deep love for Grandma Russell)! Then we went home and put Livy down for bed because she was being very cranky. Trevor and I opened our gifts to each other and a few family gifts and then went to bed.

Tuesday 25th: Christmas Day we woke up and went to Trevor's parents house to let Livy open a few gifts and few other gifts for each other and then we ate an amazing breakfast! All the same people as Christmas Eve were there in Christmas Day! We played games, basketball in the house (with 3 tall boys it gets kinda crazy) and snacked all day! All in all it was a great day....

Then Christmas Night came and that is where things got crazy..............

Tuesday Night Wednesday Morning (25th and 26th): Livy had the worst night ever! Waking up screaming bloody murder burning up but her skin was freezing cold!

Wednesday 26th: She had a high fever of 102 all day but no other symptoms!

Thursday 27th: Her fever finally was down when she woke up and she had one of her top canine (pointy) teeth. It came quick and we didn't expect it!

Friday through Saturday 28th & 29th: Were great days! I don't remember much of what we did those days truthfully except for take a few pictures of this sweet happy girl!

So Happy

So this picture is actually from Christmas Eve but the other 3 are from the weekend after
Sunday 30th: We went to our Ward's Sacrament Meeting and went home for a quick bite to eat before heading to another Ward for Trevor's Cousin Cameron Farewell talk (not really a farewell anymore but you get the picture) Then after he spoke we went to the Heritage Hall for a Luncheon! Amazing food and amazing company! Family and friends of Cameron! I actually ran into one of Cameron's friends Ian who happened to be my 2nd cousin I think! I haven't seen him since I was in Elementary School... so that was like 15 years ago I saw him! Olivia ate a lot of real people food which she never does and we thought it was great! Oh, were we wrong!

Monday 31st New Year's Eve: Livy spent the whole night having blow out after blow out filled with all the people food she ate! We thoughts.. "Ok, the people food does not agree with her tummy yet. Lets just take it easy till she starts feeling better." We were wrong once again!

Tuesday 1st, 2013 New Year's Day! Livy had once again the whole night with blow outs but this time she kept throwing up like big people throw up! I tried to let Livy sleep as much as possible during the day but then she would wake up screaming and I would once again have to strip her down and change bed sheets, put it all in the washer and get her cleaned up to start over again! (Lets just say I had to change her bed sheet and protective cover on her bed at least 7 times and I always had a load of laundry going. And to top it off I spent the night throw my guts up till at least 1am.

Wednesday 2nd: I was feeling better but my stomach was weak! I thought this about Livy, "Ok, maybe there is something more going on since she is still throwing up, blow outs every diaper, and will not eat normal.. I think I am going to take her to the doctor." After a lovely doctor visit... (I hate being the kind of mom that takes your kid to the doctor for the smallest thing but for some reason something doesn't seem right) Dr. Coss decided that it may have started out as a flu bug but with all the Blow out's she probably got an infection and now has a small bladder infection! So he wrote a prescription and it was filled the next day.

Thursday 3rd: We went to Trevor's parents house to open Christmas Gifts with all his siblings in the morning.. didnt' stay for breakfast because everyone felt sick! Olivia hadn't thrown up since Wednesday but she hadn't had a wet diaper since then either! She was very cranky and just wanted to nap in your arms... which was good because Trevor was now home sick with the Flu and slept with her most of the day! After full day of antibiotics (well the amount that stayed in her stomach since she throws up any medicine you give to her even tylenol) We went back to Trevor's parents house to eat Christmas Dinner.. which was good timing because everyone seemed to be feeling a lot better after sleeping all day and getting a little food in their tummies! Had an amazing "The Odd Life.. of Timothy Green" Party and then came home! The night was the 1st night everyone slept in their own beds all night and actually had a good sleep with no blow outs or throw up to clean up!

Friday 4th (today): Trevor is feeling a lot better and is off to work! Olivia still has not had a wet diaper and still wont keep her medicine down! I am feeling a lot better but my stomach is still really weak and have officially lost 7 pounds! And I am actually excited about that! Olivia went down for a nap around 9:30am and still has not woken up.. bless her little heart! And I have given a call to the doctor to see what we do next about getting her better! We will see how the rest of the day goes!

I will post more pictures soon when I have a little more time and am not waiting on a phone call from the doctor! I will update once we know more! Keep our little girl in your prayers.. I just hope we can get this all figured out before it turns into her having to be admitted to the hospital for dehydration or something horrible! Love you all! Thank you for all you do for us!!!
