Wants VS. Needs

I cant believe how fast time has been flying around our house lately! I know the last post I said I would post pictures about that craft that I have been doing, but with a press for needs vs. wants at our house I have put that project on the back burner for now.

As for the topic of needs vs. wants.... We are trying our hardest to get out of debt! Trevor has been feeling very bummed out that he is in the same place with school and his job as he was when we got married. We have been discussing options of how to get out of that rut! Dont get me wrong, we sure love his job and the money it provides for our living and the amazing bosses that he has. BUT... it is not in the field that he wants to end up in so it gets hard to have excitement about going to work every day and doing the same thing over and over. For those of you that dont know what job he has, he is a driver for 1st Propane, a company owned by his dad and run in the office by his Uncle Shea (who could have better bosses than that?!?) He is also going to school at NPC here in Snowflake and working towards getting his associates so he can start going to school to be a RN!

In the process of being burnt out with not getting anywhere with trying to get his education done we came across a school the he can get his bachelors degree for nursing in a fast track pace without having to have pre-req's to get into the school. After looking further into the school we found out that it would cost us close to the same price as buying a house and we did not like that. That was our plan for a while to go too that specialty school and just get further into debt just so he isnt burnt out anymore and we can get done with school. I was not a fan of how far in debt it would put us and we just couldnt get over the fact that it would cost us the same as buying a house. So it was put on the back burner for a little bit as we looked into some other schools. We gave up on the school search after finding that most schools need pre- req's or cost way too much and went back to the thought of moving to phoenix to go too Brookline (the original school idea)

A couple months went by with this being our plan when Trevor's brother and his wife went to Trevors parents with another idea of schooling for us. His parents then came to us and told us this brilliant idea! The idea is as follows:

We would move to the pima/thatcher area and live in their double wide trailer so Trevor could go to school at EA and I would work to put him through school!

We have not worked out the rest of the details with them yet but will once we are able to go down and talk to a couselor at EA to figure out how we will go about finishing up trevors associates degree and getting transfered to start going to school down there. It will take him 3 more associates degree classes and then 2 years in their nursing program. We have heard that their nursing program is one of the best in the State of Arizona. And after you graduate you get one of the best sets of accredidation to find a job than any other school. (at least we have heard that)

So back to needs vs. wants! We are putting needs before our wants for everything we do and buy now a days. So if you come to our house and it looks like we have no food in our fridge, it is because we are only buying the needs for food and not stocking up like we use to! Not that we are not buying food anymore! haha!

Just an update on kids:
Olivia is growing up so fast and is turning into such a fun and loving little girl. She will be 2 1/2 next month!

Hyrum is army crawling everywhere and loves to laugh and play with his older sister. I cant believe he is almost 8 months!

We are doing great and looking forward to being debt free so we can move down to Thatcher for Trevor to finish up school and get his RN! We are grateful to Chauncy and Shar for their amazing offer/idea to move down there! We love all our family where ever they are and look forward to seeing them all at some time or other this summer! Have a great rest of the month of June and hopefully I will post soon!
