I have been wanting to do some craft projects to fill in time during the day when I don't want to clean. So I have been checking pinterest over and over to see if there are any DIY projects that I can do that wont break the bank. I finally found a fall wreath that I just had to try so I headed to the Dollar Store to look at their craft supplies! I apparently arrived the right day because they had a whole wall filled with fake leaves and pumpkins and then ideas came flooding to my mind.
Here is the inspiration...
Here is my finished project...
I found a square wreath that if I had the money for it I would have bought it. It would have cost $50. But instead of buying the wreath I made my own for less than $20! I love dollar store! I am going to make more crafts from there soon. Maybe some cute Christmas crafts.. I have so many ideas! Till next time!

Cake
Babies are very fragile beings... yes I know that is a dumb statement! Let me explain my reasoning....
Yesterday Trevor and I went to his parents house once he got of work. They had made me a birthday cake so we were going to eat some. Candles, ice cream, cake... amazing stuff! As they placed the cake in front of me, with Olivia sitting on my lap, they started to sing the birthday song! I began to puff my cheeks with air about to blow out the candles and.... whack... Olivia slapped her hand into the cake. I blew out the candles and then hurriedly grabbed her hand to wash it off! Nope... too late! She had managed to almost completely lick all the frosting and cake off her hand and managed to get it all over her face and the counter. As I was cleaning her up they smoothed over the frosting and cake that was missing and dished us all out a slice of cake. It was funny and the perfect ending to a perfect day! We ate cake and then visited and managed to get a few pictures of Liv while she was still on a sugar high. She made funny faces, blew bubbles and laughed at anything and every thing. Within an hour she started getting very cranky so Trevor, once we were at home, bounced her to sleep and put her down for a late day nap. An hour later she woke up and continued to fuss! We gave her a bottle and put her down not 30 minutes later and she slept until midnight. Apparently the cake and frosting was too much for her small body to handle. Sugar high to crashing... It is a funny thing to watch! It was a great day and I am so grateful for loving family and friends in all they do for me everyday!
She is a goof... We love every minute of that little Munchkin! And for the record she loves her grandparents more than her parents sometimes! We love watching her talk to Grandma Russell or babble to her! Can't wait to see what adventure we are in for next time!

September Happenings
Sorry I haven't blogged in a little bit.. I try to stay up with what is going on in our lives! Life has been crazy busy for all of us lately (mostly Trevor is busy) Trevor goes to his CNA class Monday, Wednesday and Friday... which means when he gets back from Showlow from his class around 11:30am he comes home for a quick lunch and then heads out to work till 5pm ish! Tuesday is always a busy day for him at work which gives Thursday as the only day that I get to spend time with him after work and he isn't exhausted.
Life for me.... Busy! Livy has started crawling! And I don't mean the army crawling that she has been doing for the past couple months.. I mean Crawling on her hands and knees (sometimes her hands and toes) all over our house! Which means that I have been baby proofing everything because she wants to do whatever I am doing and get into anything that looks interesting. Oh and what makes it even more fun... She pulls up to anything and every piece of furniture in our house! Which means those things that are left on the couch, side table, Dish washer left open, even the toilet left open.... She wants to play with it and put it in her mouth! (she hasn't played in the toilet yet but we have caught her trying) I am always chasing her around... she is such a busy body at all times! I love every minute of it!
I have taken a lot of pictures and videos of Liv this month because she is really discovering the world around her lately! Being a mom of a developing baby is so rewarding... It is amazing how much they pick up from how you act and things you do and say!
We have had a good September so far and are looking forward to the Fall... I will post pictures soon of my project I have been working on for a week! Till next time!!!

Like I said she is crawling and getting into everything.. she is under our coffee table and I have stuff on top of it for a project I was working on... (see pictures later) |
We keep finding her standing up in her crib.. We have had to drop it to almost the lowest notch so she wont climb out |
Why yes, she is licking the entertainment unit door (I wonder why she has to lick everything) |
She has a discovery issue about her feet.. she is always holding them as if they are going to get up and run away from her |
She likes to walk around people.. grab their leg or hand and walk around them instead of crawling around |
Dressed her up one Sunday and couldn't resist a photo shoot |
Making funny faces for her daddy |
She loves playing with the grass |
We have a million tall trees in our backyard and the leaves are starting to fall off... Couldn't resist... |
Well she couldn't resist once again eating something she shouldn't |
And yes the leaf did end up entirely in her mouth... But I got it out before she tried swallowing |

Labor Day Weekend.. Sweet Tri
Trevor participated in the Sweet Triathlon this weekend. His goal this year was to participate in 3 Tri's this year and so far he has done two. He improved his time by a lot this time... I went and watch him and his parents Swim, Bike and then Run in the Triathlon. Here are pictures of them... sorry some of them are so blurry (that's what you get when you are holding a squirmy 7 month old who wants to eat the camera the whole time)
So they all improved so much... Trevor got 2nd place in his age group! Kristi got 1st place in her age group! Mike got 2nd place is his age group!
They did a good job! I could never do a Triathlon.. well I could but I don't want too! haha
In other notes here are a few pictures of the cute munchkin!
Hope your Labor Day Weekend was a blast.. Happy September 4th!!
